It’s not the most impressive list ever, but it’s pretty darn good considering my main goal for several months was to just take care of Elly. Or as Dan says, “Our goal is to not kill her.” Thankfully, babies are pretty resilient.

My list of sewing projects to tackle in 2011 is even longer and the year has just begun. Let’s hope I can be a bit more productive.

The sewing room is being turned back into a guest bedroom. With 2 twin beds pulled out, there is no room for my sewing machine. It will hibernate in the basement for at least 2 weeks.

Once the New Year arrives, there will be a mad dash to finish Elly’s 3 Kings gift: ruffle pants in fun flannel fabrics.

Merry Christmas!

Less than 24 hours after receiving them, I sewed the first label to the latest Christmas present completed.

I had to first adhere the label to a scrap piece of fabric, since the labels show up best against light colored fabrics . (Details of the bag will be posted later in the week).

Now I have to go unwrap all the other Christmas presents I made and adhere labels to them.

Dan says that the labels won’t fool anybody; nobody will believe Elly made them.

So as not to further clutter up my Knitted Gems blog with a parade of sewing projects and reviews, I decided it was high time to start a sewing blog.

I even splurged and bought myself sewing labels to adhere to all my projects so people would know they weren’t store bought or worse sewn by somebody else.

Naturally, I named my hobby sewing line after my daughter Elly.

Labels were made by Etsy seller Custom Couture Label Company.
